Overview

Standardized assessments, from BOT-2 and Beery VMI to GFTA-3 and Vineland, sit alongside guided evaluations as structured data sources that feed the same downstream workflows.

Admin or therapist adds a standardized assessment score to a client's record. The scoring framework carries through: domain, subdomain, composite, standard scores, percentile ranks, age-equivalent values, whatever the instrument produces. Those scores surface on the Therapy Record's evaluation card, feed the POC generator alongside the guided evaluation data, and appear as quoted evidence in AI-generated reports.

Like guided evaluations, standardized assessments are structured data, not prose. That means when a report merges data sources, 'evaluation, standardized assessments, session notes', the AI composes from the scored results, not from a free-text field where you typed the scores. Age-equivalent, percentile, and standard-score values render appropriately in medical and educational reports alike.

How it works

Under the hood.

The technical architecture, API integration points, and data model that make this feature work the way it does.

01

Per-assessment scoring framework.

Each instrument carries its own domain hierarchy, score types (raw, standard, scaled, percentile, age-equivalent), and interpretation bands. Scoring input validates against the instrument's structure, no out-of-range entries, no mismatched score types.

02

Assessment scores as structured inputs to POC + reports.

POC generator reads guided-eval + assessment data together when identifying below-competence domains. AI report composition quotes assessment results appropriately for the audience, standard-score language for medical, percentile + age-equivalent for educational.

03

Composite / domain / subdomain exportable via Client Trends.

Client Trends analytics pulls assessment scores across the caseload, tabular, filterable, exportable to CSV / Excel. Track longitudinal change per client and cross-client at the discipline / age / diagnosis level.

04

Add-assessment-score action on the Therapy Record + Add dropdown.

'+ Add ▾' on the therapist's top bar includes 'Add assessment score' as a first-class action, not a deeply-nested menu item. Assessment entry is designed to be fast enough to do during or immediately after the session.

Why it matters

01

Structured scores across every instrument.

Not a free-text field with scores typed in. Real composite, domain, subdomain structure per assessment, ready to compare, graph, and report.

02

Feeds POC generation and reports automatically.

Assessment scores merge with guided evaluation data when the POC generator identifies below-competence domains. Reports quote standardized results in-context, in the report audience's language.

03

Discipline-aligned: OT, PT, SLP, mental health.

Each discipline's assessment library, scoring rules, norm tables, score interpretation guidance, respected and configurable at the org level.
