Payroll in a therapy practice is the intersection of signed sessions, rendering-provider assignment, CPT-level pay rates, and clean audit trails. MyTherapyWizard captures all of it at the point of session, not at the end of the period.
Each session carries the assigned rendering provider, the therapist whose credentials, NPI, and taxonomy appear on the claim and whose pay rate applies to the session. Therapist profiles hold credentials, license number, NPI, taxonomy, Medicaid number, discipline, and supervisor. Pay rates are stored per CPT code per therapist, with a historical-rate-edit model: once finalized, a pay rate is immutable; changes create a new effective-dated record.
The Admin payroll generation view lets you filter by date range, therapist, and status, select visits to include, and surface unsigned-note and flagged-session indicators before payroll closes. The therapist payroll view is read-only: current-period earnings from signed sessions, filterable by date range, with historical finalized reports accessible and unsigned / flagged sessions clearly marked.

Credentials, license number, NPI, taxonomy, Medicaid number, discipline, supervisor, and rendering-provider IDs per insurer. Same record drives claim submission, supervision, and payroll.
Pay rates per CPT code per therapist. Historical rate edits are immutable once finalized, changes create a new effective-dated record. Import pay rate from another therapist is available at setup time to speed onboarding.
Filter by date range, therapist, status. Select visits to include. Unsigned / flagged sessions indicator surfaces before payroll closes, no nasty surprises.
Current-period earnings from signed sessions. Filter by date range. Historical finalized payroll reports accessible. Unsigned / flagged sessions shown with an indicator so the therapist can close gaps before the period rolls.
CPT-level rates per therapist mean the right amount calculates automatically on every signed session. No post-hoc reconciliation.
Flagged and unsigned sessions surface in both the admin and therapist views. Payroll closes on what's actually complete, not what's 'probably fine.'
Raised a rate mid-year? The old rate still applies to the sessions it covered. New rate effective-dates forward. Audit-ready.
