Overview

The goal bank is organized by discipline, age, and skill, searchable by text, domain, or subdomain, and every user carries their own favorited goal set alongside the shared bank.

Goals are suggested by the AI assistant when generating a POC, but the AI isn't guessing. It's working from the merged evaluation data associated with the POC, real scores, real baselines, real domain profiles, and sequencing suggestions by developmental priority. Because the input is structured and the hierarchy is encoded, the AI isn't improvising from vague context the way most AI documentation tools do. It's composing goals from data that already exists.

The tone of the suggestions matches the POC's audience. For a medical POC, goals are written in medical necessity language, focused on deficits, skilled intervention, and measurable functional gains. For an educational POC, goals are written in strength-based and participation-based language, focused on access, engagement, and the skills that support educational progress. Goals can be edited, favorited, or created from scratch. Your favorites become your private bank, searchable and reusable across clients.

How it works

Under the hood.

The technical architecture, API integration points, and data model that make this feature work the way it does.

01

Structured goal components at the data layer.

Every goal, whether from the bank, AI-suggested, or hand-written, stores as structured components: skill, measurement type (accuracy | frequency | rate | duration | completion), target value, support level, mastery rule, baseline. The displayed sentence is composed from the components.

02

AI suggestion working from merged evaluation data.

Suggestions pull from the evaluation profile linked to the active POC: below-competence domains, baseline scores, clinical hierarchy sequencing. Composition goes through the AI for language; the reasoning is data-grounded.

03

Per-user favorite bank alongside shared org bank.

Searchable by text, domain, subdomain. Favorites accessible from POC builder, goal editor, and session note quick-add. Shared bank extendable by admin at the org level.

04

Tone matches POC audience (medical | educational).

Same goal bank, different composed output. Audience selection on the POC drives the tone of suggested and edited goals, medical necessity vocabulary for medical POCs, strengths/participation vocabulary for educational POCs.

Why it matters

01

Your goal bank + the shared bank, one searchable layer.

Favorited goals stay with you, usable across clients. Search by text, domain, or subdomain, no more scrolling a flat list hoping to find the right one.

02

Audience-appropriate language automatically.

Medical POCs get medical-necessity goals. Educational POCs get participation-framed goals. Same goal bank, different tone depending on who the POC is for.

03

Editable, extendable, discipline-specific.

Org admins and therapists can extend the bank. OT, PT, SLP, mental health, each discipline's taxonomy respected; none of it feels repurposed.
