Overview

Value-based care is coming to therapy. Payers are already beginning to require structured outcome reporting for prior authorization and continued authorization. MyTherapyWizard is built for that reality, every session produces the structured measurement data that VBC reporting will require.

The Goal Performance Index combines performance against target with support level required, not a therapist's gestalt rating, but a calculation from the actual data the session produced. The Session Performance Index aggregates GPI within a session. Across sessions, GPIs form a trajectory per goal. Over weeks and months, those trajectories are the structured, longitudinal change data a value-based payer wants to see.

The measurement framework is Rasch-ready: as the dataset grows, scoring can be statistically calibrated to interval-level precision, the standard used in the most rigorous outcome measurement research in rehabilitation science. You don't have to care about that to use the product. But if you're the kind of practice owner who pays attention to where the industry is going, it's worth knowing the infrastructure is already in place.

How it works

Under the hood.

The technical architecture, API integration points, and data model that make this feature work the way it does.

01

GPI: performance against target × support level required.

Function of correct / attempted, cues level, level of assistance. 70% accuracy independently ≠ 70% accuracy with max assist. Stored as structured data on every session-goal record.

02

SPI: per-session aggregate of GPI across goals.

Session Performance Index averages GPI across goals addressed. Produces the session-level trajectory that rolls into longitudinal change data.

03

Rasch-ready scoring model.

Goals stored as structured components (skill, measurement type, target, support, mastery rule, baseline). Interval-scaleable. As cross-client dataset grows, scoring calibratable to interval-level precision, supporting ICF-aligned outcome research and VBC risk-adjustment requirements.

04

ICF-aligned documentation architecture.

Domains, participation, and activity-level goals map naturally to ICF categories. Progress reports surface functional change, not just impairment-level change, in the vocabulary payers and regulators increasingly require.

Why it matters

01

Outcome data as a byproduct of doing therapy.

Structured session capture produces GPI and SPI trajectories automatically. No separate reporting workflow, no double-entry for outcomes.

02

Audit-defensible by construction.

Every claim of progress in a report is tied to a number. Every goal is tied to an evaluation score. Every medical necessity statement is grounded in the measured data underneath.

03

Rasch-ready for the measurement future.

As the dataset grows, the scoring framework can calibrate to interval-level precision. The math that underpins the most rigorous outcome research, supported natively.
